JAZZ-novo multisensor measurement system

The JAZZ-novo Multisensor measurement system is a result of the scientific cooperation between Nałęcz Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering PAS and Ober Consulting Poland. The system allows the acquisition of the eye movements with excellent spatial and temporal resolution, together with other physiological and environmental signals. The main idea behind developing the JAZZ-novo multisensor was to gather different kinds of information about pilot’s interaction in the cockpit, using a single device. The signals measured by JAZZ-novo include:

  • eye movements in horizontal and vertical axis,
  • head rotation velocity in horizontal and vertical axis,
  • head acceleration in horizontal and vertical axis,
  • photoplethysmographic signals in two lengths of the light wave,
  • audio signal.

Intended Use

  1. JAZZ-novo is designed and intended to be used for research applications only.
  2. JAZZ-novo is not designed or intended to be used for diagnosis or treatment of disease.
  3. JAZZ-novo is not sold as a Medical Device as defined in EU directive 93/42/EEC, Article 1, Sec 2 (a) (European Union), or as defined in the Federal Food Drug & Cosmetic (FD&C) Act, Chapter II, Sec 201 (h) (USA).
  4. JAZZ-novo is not authorized for use as critical components in life support systems.
